How long have you been an artist? What is your specialty? Where do u find inspiration?
I think I was born with this passion. When I was at a secondary school I had professional lessons of drawing and painting. I was thinking of studies at the Academy of Fine Arts, but lack of confidence made me resign. I focused on a different field – graduated in journalism and developed my writing skills. I used to draw only from time to time. The volcano of my passion has erupted again at the age of 30. After creating an Instagram account I’ve started to draw with ink and pencils. I can say that ink drawing is my specialty. The best inspiration? Nature. I mostly like to draw birds, especially owls, but in my portfolio you can find also different species, landscapes or people’s portraits… everything can be inspiring.

Do you have a job in the art industry? If So, what’s one thing you don’t like about it? If no, where would your dream job be?
My art hobby has became a part-time job. I have started a little business and I sell my illustrations. I dream that my business will grow and one day it will be my full-time occupation. Life will show the positive and negative aspects of this work. For now I can only say that I don’t like wrist pain after few hours of drawing;)

Do you have a favorite Artist?
So hard to choose… I adore works of Hokusai, Pieter Bruegel and of course maestro Salvador Dali. I don’t know if this list has any end or order.

What is one accomplishment you’ve had in your life? Does not need to be art related.
I do what I’ve always wanted to do. My second passion is writing and I live from it. I work as a copywriter and editor. My drawings receive very kind feedback which gives me a lot of satisfaction.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 10 years? 20 years?
It’s not easy to answer this question, because my life is quite surprising. Every chapter was usually based more on fortuity than on a specific plan. The only thing I know is I don’t want to quit art again. In 5, 10 and 20 years I see myself at my desk, drawing and making progress every day. It is very important to me that through my art I can promote love and respect for nature. I hope to start cooperation with some animals supporting found – if I could use my work to help animals, I will be happy and fulfilled person.

If you could meet and talk to any person in the world, dead or alive, who would it be?
I would like to meet Janina Ochojska – charity activist and founder of the Polish Humanitarian Action. Despite of having polio disease she managed to organize help for plenty of people suffering because of wars or natural disasters. This is really something.

How is one way you make money with your art?
I mainly make custom orders and sell prints of my drawings. On the one hand I earn money, on the other I meet very kind people from all over the world – it is a valuable bonus of my work.

If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be and why?
I like to travel and there are many places I would like to visit. Hopefully one day I will go to Japan, to see Mount Fuji. Would be amazing to get closer to the world of the great art legend – Hokusai.

What is your favorite brand of art supply? Whether it’s a brand of pencils or brand of camera or software
I value the quality of Sakura Pigma Micron fineliners, also Faber Castell offers a wide range of art supplies that I like.

Any advice for young artists?
Do what you love and the world will find you.
