How long have you been an artist? What is your specialty? Where do u find inspiration?
I’ve been an artist my whole life. My dad is an artist and he has been my greatest mentor throughout the years. A lot of what I know I learned from him as well as just experimenting on my own. I would say my specialty is drawing with colored pencils. I find inspiration in many different ways. Music is definitely one my main inspirations.

Do you have a job in the art industry? If So, what’s one thing you don’t like about it? If no, where would your dream job be?
I do not have a job in the art industry right now. I hope to maybe one day. I just make stuff on the side for now. My dream job would be designing clothes and different media for musicians.

Do you have a favorite Artist?
I have a lot of artists that I look up to, but one in particular is Android Jones. His designs are so complex and mind bending, it’s almost hard to even comprehend. He also uses a lot of bright colors, which I definitely am a fan of and use a lot in my own work.

What is one accomplishment you’ve had in your life? Does not need to be art related.
One of the accomplishments I’ve made was being able to design a tapestry for Lost Lands Music Festival. I created a drawing for Jeff (Excision) a few years ago because I was really excited for his upcoming tour. I ended up bringing my drawing to the merch table in hopes that it would somehow make it to him. A year later I met him at a meet and greet and brought up the drawing. He explained that he liked it so much that he wanting me to create art for his new festival that would be happening later that year. It was one of the coolest and most rewarding experiences I’ve had to date!

If you could meet and talk to any person in the world, dead or alive, who would it be?
If I could meet any person, I would say Walt Disney because he was such a brilliant and creative person. It’s incredible that his work has made such a huge impact on society and will continue for years and years to come. It would be so interesting just to hear his thoughts. Such an inspiring individual.

What is your favorite brand of art supply? Whether it’s a brand of pencils or brand of camera or software
My favorite art supply is hands down my Prismacolor colored pencils. They blend so well compared to other brands I’ve tried.

Any advice for young artists?
My advice for young artists is don’t be afraid to put yourself out there. I remember when I was younger, I basically didn’t like to show anyone my sketchbook. In a way, it was kind of like my diary since it was such a personal thing to me. Eventually I started sharing my artwork on social media and started to get a lot of positive feedback! Share it with people, or even send your work to your favorite artist! Connecting with other artists is also a great way to get yourself out there. They can give you advice from their experiences, but also may have connections that you need to push you in the direction you want to go.
