How long have you been an artist? What is your specialty? Where do u find inspiration?
15yrs. My specialty is drawing and painting.Lately I’v been working in colored pencil and marker. My work has always had a surreal feel and till recently iv working in a neo-traditional style.
Do you have a job in the art industry? If So, what’s one thing you don’t like about it? If no, where would your dream job be?
Yes! I am an Art teacher. The one thing I don’t like is that people like to think that if you don’t draw hyper realistic art or realism in general you are not a good artist. This mentality is toxic to new artists.

Do you have a favorite Artist?
Michael Hussar is one because of his dark themes and also I love the use of whites and pinks in his characters. Brando Chiesa also because of his colors and his work has alot to do with anime but he has a dark twist to his work and I love it! Lastly, Shawn Coss because of his ink work.
What is one accomplishment you’ve had in your life? Does not need to be art related.
Becoming a teacher I believe has been my biggest accomplishment. I teach in a school were most of the students live in broken homes and have lived very hard lives. Me teaching a subject that makes life even a little better for them makes it all worth while.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 10 years? 20 years?
I want to continue teaching. In 10 years I would like to be teaching at a Uni. I want to branch out to other media so maybe tattooing possibly street art.
If you could meet and talk to any person in the world, dead or alive, who would it be?
Probably any of the artist I mentioned earlier. They all have such unique styles and I would love to pick there brains or even just watch them work.

How is one way you make money with your art?
Selling originals and commissions.
If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be and why?
Japan! I love the culture and food haha.
What is your favorite brand of art supply? Whether it’s a brand of pencils or brand of camera or software
Copic for pens and markers. Golden for paint. Photoshop for photo editing.

Any advice for young artists?
Go out there and express yourself! Do not let other artist bring you down if you have making your art at the end of the day thats all that matters. Also, breath.
