Where are you from?
I’m from the Netherlands, but I live in Canada.

How long have you been an artist? What is your specialty? Where do u find inspiration?
I have been drawing for about two years. I mostly do black-and-white mountain drawings. Living in the Rocky Mountains gives me a lot of inspiration.

Do you have a job in the art industry? If So, what’s one thing you don’t like about it? If no, where would your dream job be?
I am self employed, which is pretty much a dream scenario. I do find it hard to manage my time sometimes, though.

Do you have a favorite Artist?
I really like M.C. Escher and Vincent van Gogh.

What is one accomplishment you’ve had in your life? Does not need to be art related.
It probably doesn’t sound very cool, but I was really happy to get my Master’s degree (in Literature). Going to school gave me a lot of discipline.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 10 years? 20 years?
Oh, who knows. I tend to make unpredictable decisions sometimes.

If you could meet and talk to any person in the world, dead or alive, who would it be?
I wouldn’t mind doing a “Midnight in Paris” and meeting Hemingway, Picasso, Dalí, Gauguin, etc. But I feel like this answer is a cop out.

How is one way you make money with your art?
One way is through selling prints in shops and online.

If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be and why?
I would love to go to Ecuador one day, for the weird reason that I did a school project on Ecuador when I was six and been interested in going ever since.

What is your favorite brand of art supply? Whether it’s a brand of pencils or brand of camera or software

Any advice for young artists?
Let your curiosity lead you and be patient with your progress.
