How long have you been an artist? What is your specialty? Where do u find inspiration?
I have been an artist for six years.

I specialize in pencil/ graphite work.

I find inspiration from music, other images and the pure image in my head that my imagination has conceptualized.

Do you have a job in the art industry? If So, what’s one thing you don’t like about it? If no, where would your dream job be?
I commission artwork from my home. I have a studio where I can produce.

I don’t like how slow it is. If My wonderful, supportive husband didn’t provide I’d have to have a job that paid more. Unfortunately i don’t make enough or get enough traffic to live off it.

Do you have a favorite Artist?
I follow a ton of my favorite people on Instagram. Waaaay too many to list. Haha.

What is one accomplishment you’ve had in your life? Does not need to be art related.
I won first place in my high schools art show. I worked my butt off and went through A LOT of failure to earn that ribbon.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 10 years? 20 years?
5 years, living back in California starting a family

10, raising my family selling art from my home

20, watching my family grow, still producing art living in a lower cost state

If you could meet and talk to any person in the world, dead or alive, who would it be?
Emma Watson.

How is one way you make money with your art?
I get requests for specific, custom pieces and I draw them for people…aka commissions. Haha

If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be and why?
Some place tropical. Bora bora, Fiji, or even Hawaii. As long as it has a beach and I can relax in the sun worry free with my husband.

What is your favorite brand of art supply? Whether it’s a brand of pencils or brand of camera or software
I only us a mechanical BIC 0.7 led pencil. And an occasional blending stump. That’s it.

Any advice for young artists?
DO WHAT YOU LOVE. Do not let other people’s perception of what life should be dictate your own. Just because your path is different doesn’t mean it’s wrong. As long as you are happy in your own life that is all that matters. Life is to short to be miserable. Follow that talent, make it the best it can be, always improve and work hard. Be you and happiness will follow.
