We are honored to have, Sanghun Lee, as our Featured Artist, he is a talented artist that draws some really cool illustrations, he seems to like one of our favorite animals, THE KILLER WHALE! How long have you been an artist? What is your specialty? Where do u find inspiration?
I have painted since I was 7 years old. I like to draw with colored pencils. At that time, I draw things, people and animals that I want to be, but now I am getting inspiration from whales.

Do you have a job in the art industry? If So, what’s one thing you don’t like about it? If no, where would your dream job be?
I am not working in the arts industry. I have never learned art and I draw pictures with my own strength.

I am a retailer. My dream job is CEO of retail business.

Do you have a favorite Artist?
My favorite Artist is Salvador Dali. He is a surrealist painter. His representative work is [The persistence of memory].

What is one accomplishment you’ve had in your life? Does not need to be art related.
My one accomplishment is personal exhibition with my art

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 10 years? 20 years?
After 5 years, 10 years and 20 years later, I will have a picture I want and like.

If you could meet and talk to any person in the world, dead or alive, who would it be?
Jim Carrey. My favorite movie star.

How is one way you make money with your art?
I sell my paintings to cafes and restaurants. In addition, I work on the illustration to enter the novel.

If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be and why?
I want to go to Paris, France. Because I want to see the Louvre museum which is the most beautiful in the world.

What is your favorite brand of art supply? Whether it’s a brand of pencils or brand of camera or softwareMy Favorite brand of art supply is Prisma(Colored pencil).

Any advice for young artists?
Do not be afraid to do art. Whether you do it well or not, it will be a wonderful work for someone.
