How long have you been an artist? What is your specialty? Where do u find inspiration?
I have been an artist since the first time I put cheap kids paint onto paper when I was around 6 years old. Since then, I’ve been a slave to art! My forte is digital illustration and I am trained in design, but my personal specialization is psychedelic, surreal graphic art. I find inspiration in vintage illustration from the 60’s and 70’s.

Do you have a job in the art industry? If So, what’s one thing you don’t like about it? If no, where would your dream job be?
I don’t really have a “real” job yet, at the moment I’m finishing up my design degree and doing small freelance jobs on the side. If I could have my dream job, it would be the creative director of my own design studio, specializing in funky, creative, graphic works. I’d love to be well known and have an easily recognizable brand style some day!

Do you have a favorite Artist?
I’ve always loved the work of Frida Kahlo, I would consider her my all-time favourite. As for my contemporary artist favorites, I like; Syd Mead, Claire Hummel, Sachin Teng, Matt Cunningham, Lois Van Baarle and Katie Dutch.

What is one accomplishment you’ve had in your life? Does not need to be art related.
This is a hard one… I guess I’ve loved many people, I’ve learned from my mistakes and I continue to move forward with love, openness and positivity.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 10 years? 20 years?
Wow um, I have no idea! I haven’t planned that far yet. I hope to travel to Europe, have a job that lets me experiment creatively and maybe live in Melbourne or Sydney? And I hope to live sustainable, grow my own food, and live a zero-waste lifestyle.

If you could meet and talk to any person in the world, dead or alive, who would it be?
Definitely Frida Kahlo or Salvador Dali

How is one way you make money with your art?
Small commissions for character design, album art, or logos

If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be and why?
Santorini, Greece! Or Nepal

What is your favorite brand of art supply? Whether it’s a brand of pencils or brand of camera or software
Wacom products have been my absolute die hard tools of the trade for so long. Wacom drawing tablets and Adobe programs like Illustrator, Photoshop and Indesign.

Any advice for young artists?
Don’t try to be like anyone else. Work hard practicing your own, individual art style and you will find success with your passion.
