How long have you been an artist? What is your specialty? Where do u find inspiration?
I’ve been an artist since I was a little boy in elementary school. My specialty would have to be anime/cartoon. It’s what I grew up on and how I started of course. My inspiration comes from many things like looking at other people’s artwork, watching anime, and even looking at my own work. That really keeps me going.
Do you have a job in the art industry? If So, what’s one thing you don’t like about it? If no, where would your dream job be?
No unfortunately, I don’t have a job in the art industry, but my dream jobs would be acting(which I am currently doing) and being an illustrator for marvel/dc comics maybe even some anime. I really want people in this world to appreciate my art and art in general; it’s such a beautiful thing!
Do you have a favorite Artist?
I have a few favorites, but the 3 that really stick out are Jim Lee, Akira toriyama and Toyotarō.
What is one accomplishment you’ve had in your life? Does not need to be art related.
Selling my artwork. That’s probably one the biggest accomplishments I have at the moment.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 10 years? 20 years?
In 5, I see myself living in Los Angeles, California, traveling the world, doing what I love which is acting also being an illustrator for anime and marvel/dc comics.
In 10, I see myself at this point in my career having a family as well as being world renowned in both acting and art. Having a star on the Hollywood Walk of fame.Have some of my creations come to life like Tv shows, movies, etc.
In 20, I see myself still acting, directing, producing, creating, and illustrating but using all the knowledge I’ve gained over the years to innovate and mentor up and coming artists.
If you could meet and talk to any person in the world, dead or alive, who would it be?
How is one way you make money with your art?
Commissions or selling prints and original pieces.
If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be and why?
Oh, that’s easy Los Angeles, California, for my acting AND art career for sure.
What is your favorite brand of art supply? Whether it’s a brand of pencils or brand of camera or software
Prismacolor is my absolute favorite right now, the color pencils and the markers just make the colors pop out!
Any advice for young artists?
My advice would be to always bet on yourself! Never give up on your dreams no matter how impossible it may seem. Don’t ever put a limit on your dreams! Always stay inspired/motivated, use whatever motivates/inspires you to keep going! Be patient and put the work in every day, so you can get to where you need to be with your art. Don’t ever be afraid to try anything! Always try! Always invent new ways to improve your art! Practice makes perfect!
