How long have you been an artist? What is your specialty? Where do u find inspiration?
I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember but only stated drawing intensely about 3 years ago.

I’ve drawn in different mediums as I’ve progressed but most times I focused on whatever medium was being practiced in arts and crafts classes in school. So sometimes I found myself painting or using colouring pencils but most recently I’ve come to really grow fond of digital art.

I like to consider my open mindedness a great advantage of drawing inspiration. I always give any new information a chance and don’t let things easily offend me as such I sponge inspiration from most everything around me but I increasingly get inspiration from comic and manga characters and the stories behind them.

Do you have a job in the art industry? If So, what’s one thing you don’t like about it? If no, where would your dream job be?
I’m not sure if there’s a title for it but I’d like to be involved In multiple aspects of digital art and animation ranging from character design to concept art, key animations and backgrounds and promotional posters for movies and the likes.

Do you have a favorite Artist?
Depending on the type of art yes. Right now Ryan Meinerding might be my favourite artist because I love what he’s doing in the visual arts department at marvel studios. I know were worlds away right now but if possible I’d like to one day get to meet him.

What is one accomplishment you’ve had in your life? Does not need to be art related.
Nothing major so far but I consider the fact that I have good people around me who tell me I’m a good person a good enough accomplishment in life so far.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 10 years? 20 years?
I try not to look so far in the future and try to make the most of opportunities coming my way today. I know it might seem a bit risky to not have any future plans to work towards but a rigid view of where you want to go might not allow you to see shortcuts or even more exciting prospects in your immediate view.

If you could meet and talk to any person in the world, dead or alive, who would it be?
I guess I’d meet and greet Ryan Reynolds. Great guy

How is one way you make money with your art?
I do commissions through my Instagram art page. Although it’s a bit of a hassle to commit to it at the moment, I hope to use the summer to really get things in motion

If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be and why?
Japan. The heartland of the anime world would be a pool of inspiration for me. I’ve also seen pictures and documentaries of the country and it looks, on surface, as a beautiful place to visit

What is your favorite brand of art supply? Whether it’s a brand of pencils or brand of camera or software
I use the prismacolor coloured pencil sets for my paper drawings and have come to trust the brand. For my digital art since I draw on my iPad I’ve grown fond of the Autodesk app Sketchbook pro.

Any advice for young artists?
I’d say for any aspiring artist it’s good to fill yourself up with anything you find interesting no matter how small you think it is. If it makes you stop to take a second look give it some attention and never lose that interest. Keep drawing daily and it’s okay to be afraid of trying new things but never let that discourage you from experimenting with different mediums every now and then.
