How long have you been an artist? What is your specialty? Where do u find inspiration?
Even in my faintest memory I am holding a paint brush and that is a mental picture from 2005. I started to play with water colours initially and have now paved my way to acrylic and oil paintings. I have been creating some art pieces for family and friends in the past but started doing it on a public platform earlier this year. My dear ones pushed me into doing this and I am glad they did. My art profile is a bit different from the usual ones you’ll see around. I do not work with one single style and so, do not limit my creativity. You will find me expressing myself through clashing waves of the sea and the moving clouds, through every different door telling a different story, through reminiscing my faith by calligraphy and hence I find inspirations in the weirdest to the most beautiful places.

Do you have a job in the art industry? If So, what’s one thing you don’t like about it? If no, where would your dream job be?
I work on my painting on a regular basis and for my buyers. I do not have an official job in this industry. My dream job would be to be an artist known for her versatile art. Do murals, collaborate with the finest people in this industry and embark on a journey I’ve haven’t been on, as yet!
Do you have a favorite Artist?
This can take a little while! I’m awed by the work done by El Seed, AQ Arif, Zaria Lynn, Komail Aijazuddin, Banksy and Gulgee. I take a lot of inspirations from photographers and Usman Zubair, Luisa Berger, Haseeb Amjad are just to name a few.
What is one accomplishment you’ve had in your life? Does not need to be art related.
I am a dentist by profession and let my art spirit kick in between the clinical world and a LOT of other things I am doing in my life and I am kind of proud of that. I have been immensely blessed to be able to tick off almost everything in my wish list.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 10 years? 20 years?
I am in my home with my loved ones, with my dental clinic around the corner and art gallery on the terrace, facing the beach.

If you could meet and talk to any person in the world, dead or alive, who would it be?
I don’t like ruining the mystery this place holds, so I’ll be the happiest to cross paths with anyone to inspire me. Those who are gone, they have already left their message in this world. 😉
How is one way you make money with your art?
I am enjoying, helping people complete their homes with a splash of my paints for now. In the near future, I wish to work with my art on home-ware products and fashion accessories.
If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be and why?
Greece & Italy. I can’t pick one! The food and oh-the beauty!
What is your favorite brand of art supply? Whether it’s a brand of pencils or brand of camera or software
Derivan Mattise paints are my current favourite.
Any advice for young artists?
Do what you love and do a lot of it! Don’t let those tiny voices from people who say that ‘it’s not good enough’ stop you. Your work should make you proud of yourself and happy and then you can’t even imagine what’s in store for you!
