How long have you been an artist? What is your specialty? Where do u find inspiration?
I can’t really put a number on how long I’ve been an artist, I’ve just always really enjoyed being creative from an early age, one area in particular I’ve really gravitated towards is illustration and over the last few years my passion for that has grown more and more. I guess my inspiration can come from when I haven’t worked for a few days and I suddenly get the urge to create something abit surreal/psychedelic; that sort of thing.

Do you have a job in the art industry? If So, what’s one thing you don’t like about it? If no, where would your dream job be?
I’m currently at university in my final year and I guess finding a job in the creative industry afterwards is a difficult one. But I would love to just design and create without any brief involved and get paid for that, I mean who wouldn’t.

Do you have a favorite Artist?
I’m very drawn towards surrealism and abstract art, so Dail and Max Ernst are two big influences for me as well as Alex Gray.

What is one accomplishment you’ve had in your life? Does not need to be art related.
I guess just getting this far in education in an art field is an accomplishment for me, as I never really thought I would get into university, I also feel blessed by having some amazing people around me.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 10 years? 20 years?
I would really like to get a creative job where I’m happy with what I’m doing, I can’t think of anything worse than doing something that I don’t enjoy.

If you could meet and talk to any person in the world, dead or alive, who would it be?
Terrance McKenna for sure, some of his theories and ideas really inspire me, I would like to have a better understanding of how he thinks and his general mind-set.

How is one way you make money with your art?
I would love to earn by producing my designs on clothing or creating cover art for albums/posters.

If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be and why?
Definitely travel around Asia more and get a better understanding of the art, culture and lifestyle there, I find it fascinating how much more in-touch with nature people are.

What is your favorite brand of art supply? Whether it’s a brand of pencils or brand of camera or software
I use quite a lot of fineliners and standard pencils really, anything I can get my hands on.

Any advice for young artists?
Keep doing what you do, there’s no limit with art and your ideas; keep on creating stuff that’s the best way to stay true to yourself.
