How long have you been an artist? What is your specialty? Where do u find inspiration?
I have been creating art in some capacity for as long as I could remember. My specialty is graphic design (branding & packaging) which I have been doing professionally for 5 years. I find inspiration everywhere, colors from houses, shapes in the built and natural environment…there’s inspiration everywhere.
Do you have a job in the art industry? If So, what’s one thing you don’t like about it? If no, where would your dream job be?
I am currently a self employed Graphic Designer and there’s not much to not like about it, I get to do what I love everyday. In terms of a dream job…I think I have dream clients. I would love to work with brands & companies such as Coca-Cola, a brewery/alcohol company and maybe someone like Nike or Adidas.
Do you have a favorite Artist?
I can’t say that I have one particular favorite Artist…I enjoy different things depending on the day.
What is one accomplishment you’ve had in your life? Does not need to be art related.
One accomplishment would be enjoying the ability to work for myself.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 10 years? 20 years?
Continuing to do what I love and working with my dream clients.
If you could meet and talk to any person in the world, dead or alive, who would it be?
I would love to meet and talk to Sir Alex Ferguson who had 26 successful years as the manager of Manchester United. I would love to talk to him about what it takes to maintain continued success.
How is one way you make money with your art?
As a graphic designer I make money by designing brand identities and packaging for businesses.
If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be and why?
I would love to go to Japan as I feel that Asia has a totally different culture to anything that I’ve ever experienced.
What is your favorite brand of art supply? Whether it’s a brand of pencils or brand of camera or software
Adobe.
Any advice for young artists?
Nothing beats a good work ethic, and delivering to clients what you have promised.
