How long have you been an artist? What is your specialty? Where do u find inspiration?
I always loved my art lessons in school, so its just grown from there! I specialize in mixed media, though I enjoy exploring all types of art like photography, digital and film! I love dark concepts, which you’ll find a lot of in psychological horror films and metal music! I love learning about neuroscience, states of consciousness and dreams within Psychology – having experienced my own episodes of sleep paralysis in the past, it was truly frightening but exciting at the same time.

Do you have a job in the art industry? If So, what’s one thing you don’t like about it? If no, where would your dream job be?
I’m studying Art and Psychology fulltime at Uni currently, so I’m hoping in the future I can merge the two!

Do you have a favorite Artist?
I have a bunch! I love the work of Francis Bacon! The mixture of figurative art with abstraction is fascinating! I also admire the work of Travis Smith – he is very present amongst the metal community and has done artwork for some of my favorite bands such as Opeth, Bloodbath and Death! I really like the style and concepts from Lasse Hoile too, he works on the visuals for the musician Steven Wilson, which makes the live shows sensational! I recently discovered the art of Seth Siro Anton, he does the artwork for his own death metal band, Septicflesh and its sublime!

What is one accomplishment you’ve had in your life? Does not need to be art related.
Well recently I passed my driving test which I’m proud of! Also, being able to grow a small online following for my art. The thought of people owning my work feels surreal!

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 10 years? 20 years?
After graduation I hope to be pursuing a career that I love! I would also like to travel and experience a lot more of the world – it would be amazing to work on animal conservation projects and get to meet my favourite animal, sloths!

If you could meet and talk to any person in the world, dead or alive, who would it be?
Well, I’ve got to mention a few people! I’d love to discuss art and technique with Francis Bacon! Talking to Sigmund Freud would also be fascinating! I’m a big fan of Derren Brown, so would love to be subjected to some of his mind tricks! And of course, meeting with music legends such as David Bowie, Kurt Cobain and Michael Jackson would be very inspiring.

How is one way you make money with your art?
I started selling my art in 2017, prints, commissions and originals. I really enjoy creating fan art from my favourite films and music, and people seem to enjoy it too which is a great feeling!

If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be and why?
I’d love to go to a small Caribbean island! I love the sea and sun!
