How long have you been an artist? What is your specialty? Where do u find inspiration?
Hard for me to say when I started, I’ve had creative inclinations my whole life but it’s only in the last few years that I have really started to devote myself to this kind of work.
I tend to be an eclectic person so I tend to be all over the place in my pursuits. At the end of the day though, I consider myself a designer but a lot of the work you will see from fro now at least is photoshop art.
Do you have a job in the art industry? If So, what’s one thing you don’t like about it? If no, where would your dream job be?
I work as an in-house designer right now and It’s a job I really do love. I’ve had a chance to learn a lot and just get better at my craft so I’m really appreciative of that fact. I do want to get my foot in the door and work with different agencies at some point because the volume of work is very different from being in-house and I would love to get that experience.

Do you have a favorite Artist?
It’s hard to pick just one but If I had to shoot one just of the top of my head I would say Mike Winkelmann better known by his handle beeple_crap. I’ve been really wanting to get into the 3D space and his work to me is a just huge inspiration. There are so many artists and creator whose work I follow because I think it is very important to surround yourself with good work.
What is one accomplishment you’ve had in your life? Does not need to be art related.
Don’t know that I have any accomplishments to speak of. All I can really say is that I am glad that I can do the work that I am currently doing and hopefully I will keep getting better.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 10 years? 20 years?
Hard for me to say right now, there is a lot I want to do but still don’t quite have the skills to do it. I want to keep growing as a designer and an artist and see where that takes me for now.

If you could meet and talk to any person in the world, dead or alive, who would it be?
Probably revealing how big a dork I am but I would love to pick Kohei Horikoshi’s brain. He is the writer and Illustrator for one of my favorite mangas right now and I would love to know his process for illustrating and character design.
If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be and why?
There are tons of places that I want to see but the one place that I have always wanted to see is New Zealand. I’d love to hike those beautiful landscapes someday.

What is your favorite brand of art supply? Whether it’s a brand of pencils or brand of camera or software
Nothing to fancy, most of my work is digital so I would have to say I am pretty loyal photoshop and illustrator user. Its where I produce most of my work and I’ll admit I geek out a bit whenever Adobe introduces new features or software.
Any advice for young artists?
I still consider myself a young artist so tell you what essentially tell myself and I’m sure it has been said more eloquently and by a lot smarter people. Just create. If you want to learn or get good at something just keep creating. No one gets good at anything by not trying.
