How long have you been an artist? What is your specialty? Where do u find inspiration?
I´ve been doing 3D-Renderings for about 3 years and my daily project (1 render per day) for just above 400 consecutive days. My specialties are Scifi-, Nature- and Apocalyptic Renders.

For inspiration I often just go on Tumblr, search a random word like “scifi” and scroll through the feed without looking at a specific image, that way I get subconsciously inspired without risking to copy somebody´s work.

Do you have a job in the art industry? If So, what’s one thing you don’t like about it? If no, where would your dream job be?
I´m currently working as Freelancer in the Stage-Visual Scene. I don’t make a living off of it yet, but i´m working on it. One thing I really don’t like about the industry are clients who don’t know what they want and don’t accept certain Prices and constantly keep asking for changes. My dream job is to work as Stage-Visual Artist for a living.

Do you have a favorite Artist?
I have many favorite Artists, for example Beeple, Simon Stålenhag, Vitaly Bulgarov, Ash Thorp and Cornelius Dämmrich.

What is one accomplishment you’ve had in your life? Does not need to be art related.
My biggest accomplishment i´ve had is to actually get a job as Stage-Visual Artist for a whole show, meaning that I do the visuals for a whole concert.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 10 years? 20 years?
In five years I see myself as full time Freelancer in this Scene. I don’t know about 10 or 20 years, as the scene is quite new and keeps changing a lot.

If you could meet and talk to any person in the world, dead or alive, who would it be?
If I could meet or talk to any person it would probably be Beeple or Deadmau5. I´m a big fan of both and they both now a lot about 3D-Stuff.

How is one way you make money with your art?
I mainly make money by creating custom Visuals for Musicians.

If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be and why?
If I could go anywhere in the world I would go to L.A. I really love the USA and whenever I go there I immediately feel home.

What is your favorite brand of art supply? Whether it’s a brand of pencils or brand of camera or software
I don’t really have a favorite brand as every brand (at least regarding 3D-Software) is
outstanding in its category. As of Hardware I am an NVidia and Intel only user.

Any advice for young artists?
My advice for young artists is: Do what you love doing and keep doing it for as long as you like it. It can take quite long to make your hobby a job, but at the end it´s really worth it because if you do what you love for a living you don’t have to work for a single day ever
again.
