We are honored to have, Casey Bennett, as our Featured Artist, he is a creative artist that makes some really interesting photo manipulations by merging animals together, really cool to see all the animals he does, make sure to head over to his wall and hit that follow button to support a fellow artist!

How long have you been an artist? What is your specialty? Where do u find inspiration?
I have been creating art for about 10 years, but found my style with photo manipulation recently. I specialize in blending of photographs to create surreal imagery with vibrant color.

I often find inspiration within my own photography, focusing on nature, animals blended with interesting textures or patterns.

Do you have a job in the art industry? If So, what’s one thing you don’t like about it? If no, where would your dream job be?
I work as a graphic designer for Zumiez where I get to utilize my weird skill-sets with a lot of creative freedom. I love my job but one downside to full time graphic design work is that I often do so much design during my workday that I don’t have the energy to create my own art when I get home.

Do you have a favorite Artist?
I have so many favorites but if I had to pick one person it would be Erik Johansson for his skills in utilizing his own photography for designing photo manipulations.

What is one accomplishment you’ve had in your life? Does not need to be art related.
Buying a home is the first accomplishment that comes to mind.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 10 years? 20 years?
I can see myself growing my family and my own business as an artist.

If you could meet and talk to any person in the world, dead or alive, who would it be?
Bob Marley, I love his vibe and a lot of what he sings about – it would be interesting to meet and talk with him.

How is one way you make money with your art?
I currently haven’t made any money off of my art and just do it because I love it. As I’ve been building popularity I have been considering selling prints or offering custom designs.

If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be and why?
I think it would be fun to go to New Zealand, I love adventure and it’s definitely an adventure destination.

What is your favorite brand of art supply? Whether it’s a brand of pencils or brand of camera or software
Canon is my by far favorite camera brand and Adobe everything for design!

Any advice for young artists?
You can accomplish just about anything if you put in the time and effort. I never went to school for design but worked at it everyday for a long time and successfully started a career as a graphic designer.
