How long have you been an artist? What is your specialty? Where do u find inspiration?
All my life I was a creative person and I spent my childhood drawing and participating in drawing competitions.
I have never stopped drawing, but the decision that creativity will become my profession came to me not immediately.
Perhaps one of the reasons was that I myself did not fully believe that this could become a profession where I could earn money to provide for my family.
I tried different professions in my youth and as a result, I became a designer and I have no doubt that I made the right choice in my life.
Do you have a job in the art industry? If So, what’s one thing you don’t like about it? If no, where would your dream job be?
I came to design from programming (front-end development, iOS app and games).
And it helps me a lot in my work because I know what difficulties developers face when working with designers and I also know about the difficulties of designers in working with developers.
I worked in design agencies where I had to switch between projects every few months and also in the largest US IT companies that are leaders in the world in their industry, and they are in a constant process of improving their product.
The approach and principles in working in such companies are significantly different but also you have the opportunity to get a unique experience.
Anyone who starts his journey in design, I would advise to start it in design agencies because this is the place where you can test yourself constantly switching between tasks and each time plunging into a new direction.
This will have the most positive effect on your professional development.

Do you have a favorite Artist?
I’m afraid that now I can not give a specific name, because there is a large list of people who inspire me and from whom I learn every day studying their work or reading articles.
But at the beginning of my creative journey, there was a team that inspired me and served as a motivation to grow and develop myself, this is Ueno design agency. These guys are real rock stars of design and still make awesome projects.
What is one accomplishment you’ve had in your life? Does not need to be art related.
One of my childhood dreams was to see the whole world and so after graduating from high school, I went to the Maritime Academy and at the age of 17 made a trip around the world that lasted half a year.
In the end, I did not become a sailor but it influenced my worldview and proved that applying enough force any dream is achievable.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 10 years? 20 years?
The design is multifaceted, and I am convinced that the process of self-development is endless. I am happy that I chose this path and I see many goals in front of which achievement will take the next 5, 10 and 20 years 🙂
If you could meet and talk to any person in the world, dead or alive, who would it be?
Maybe it will sound very trivial, but maybe this person would be Steve Jobs. He created an industry in which I am happy to work, and he made a revolution by changing the relationship between products and the user and created an emotional connection between them.

How is one way you make money with your art?
Design is my main job and I’m happy to do what I love every day.
If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be and why?
In the past, I would have definitely chosen some metropolis with raging energy, but now I would go into the wild with mountains, forests and waterfalls. I love exploring California national parks and that’s what gives me new energy.
What is your favorite brand of art supply? Whether it’s a brand of pencils or brand of camera or software
Since I am a product designer, my main tool is my laptop. This is my white canvas on which I create my ideas and bring them to the level until I am satisfied with the result.
My wife is also a product designer and she also creates amazing illustrations.
Sometimes I envy her, because in the arsenal of illustrators there are many more cool tools that help them create their work 🙂
Any advice for young artists?
Create and work as much as possible because it is the only way of development. Find something that you really love and then you do not have to work a single day in your life.
