How long have you been an artist? What is your specialty? Where do u find inspiration?
I’ve been doing art all my life, since I was kid. I’ve been a professional artists for the last 10 years. My focus is on character design/ concept art. I find inspiration mainly on other artists personal projects , creative people make my blood pump and gets me very inspired to work on my own stuff!.

Do you have a job in the art industry? If So, what’s one thing you don’t like about it? If no, where would your dream job be?
I’m a freelance illustrator at the moment. I own a small illustration studio with my wife Luiza McAllister – we call it 2Minds Studio. We’ve been doing freelance work for the game industry for a long time now. I’ve worked on fixed jobs in the industry and I’d rather stay in my current home-office situation since it gives me more freedom to work on different projects at once and also my own personal stuff. (working on pajamas is also great haha)

Do you have a favorite Artist?
Not really. I don’t really like the idea of a “favorite” artist – I love several different artists styles and themes and I’d rather consider all of them favorites!

What is one accomplishment you’ve had in your life? Does not need to be art related.
After 10 years of hard work I finally managed to purchase my own apartment, all the money came from my illustration carreer so I’m quite proud of this 🙂

If you could meet and talk to any person in the world, dead or alive, who would it be?
I’ve lost my father to a pancreatic cancer several years ago and I was a very different person back there. I wish I could talk to him again over a coffee 🙂

How is one way you make money with your art? As I said before, I’m a freelance artist so the income varies a lot with the project I’m involved with. Usually character design freelance!

If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be and why?
Oof, that’s also difficult. I’ve been very interested in visiting Japan and New Zealand lately.

What is your favorite brand of art supply? Whether it’s a brand of pencils or brand of camera or software
Well, I’m a photoshop user and not really a traditional artist, so Photoshop would be my weapon of choice!

Any advice for young(er) artists?
The illustration world can be quite a challenging one, specially with all the wonderful artists we got to see on social media everyday so try to focus on your own development instead of comparing yourself to your idols. Making good art takes time and a lot of practice, so it’s a long journey! Enjoy the ride and try to makes stuff that you like, find pleasure in your craft and make good art!
